About Orpheus Musical Theatre
Orpheus Musical Theatre is a not-for-profit registered charity (No. 11907 0415 RR0001) and is Canada's longest-running organization of its kind. Orpheus has been entertaining Ottawa theatre audiences with musical performances of all kinds since 1906.
As a community theatre, Orpheus welcomes and encourages participation in community-led musical theatre productions that engage a mix of professional, experienced and novice contributors while guiding a process that embraces, equally, the delight of volunteers and audiences.
As a not-for-profit and charitable organization, Orpheus aims to be an all-encompassing artistic hub whose training programs and productions foster unparalleled learning, collective pride, curiosity, and unfathomable connectivity through contributors from across the National Capital Region.
Our staff and volunteer teams engage with and contribute to a setting that fosters respect, inclusivity, transparent communication, proactive problem-solving, and aligns with the organization's core values.
